And the Heavens Opened . . .

Carrollton, Texas view map

I took over two dozen photos today. I wasn't really happy with any of them. I guess I was the least unhappy with this one, so I'm posting it.
Any honest critiques or suggestions, either public or private, are welcome.
I'm here to learn.

It works for me, a difficult subject well done.

A tremendous sky Scott - I don't think you could have got it any better.

Deep and moody! With that extreme range it would be difficult to spot meter the burning sun without loosing all other detail. About the only trick would be blending two exposures. All in all a good one Scott.

Not a bad shot, in my humble opinion. Tough shot to do with heavey clouds down the left side. I am thinking maybe switch to full Manual and stop down a full stop to give the highlights more detail around the real bright spot (the sun peaking through?) and pull out more detail in the darker clouds during processing. Maybe even bracket and shoot 3 or 4 exposures reducing the aperature with each shot. I still really like it as it is though. Well done.
