Glacier Water

We finally made it to safe ground on the other side of the Drizzlepuss. We can finally allow ourselves to relax a bit, and begin to celebrate the accomplishment. As we made our way back to the CMC campsite we found a glacier perched above this little rock outcrop. As the glacier melted we could fill our water bottles and have ice cold water. When you travel in the backcounty one of the things you miss first is refrigerated drinks. It is an absolute luxury to have an ice cold drink og glacier water on this day. When in the backcountry it does not take much to make one happy.

After we packed up our camp we began the hike (and canoe) out of the wilderness. It was a tough, tough day. 17 hours after we awoke at 4:00 AM we were sitting in Moose, Wyoming stuffing our face with pizza. One of the toughest days physically I have ever had in the mountains, and also one of the most rewarding.
