My friend Brad and I had the wonderful experience of climbing in the Teton Range for a week from July 21 through July 29, 2006. Grand Teton National Park is my favorite of all the parks, and perhaps my favorite place to visit in all the world. I have been in the mountains of New Zealand, Switzerland, Italy, France, and countless ranges in the U.S.A., but none have touched me in the way the Tetons have. It is a place of remarkable beauty from the remote canyons, to abundant wildlife, and the more subtle aspects such as the plentiful wildflowers. My time spent this week was focused on technical climbing (which was phenomenal!), but climbing in the Tetons demands long approaches where you are obliged to spend time in the remote canyons, and become intimate with all facets of the range. Please enjoy this photo album as I take you through climbs of Cube Point in the seldom visited Hanging Canyon, Grand Teton (the big one!), Mt. Moran, and Buck Mountain. A spectacular week on rocks it was!
