In this picture Brad is heading out on one of the final pitches. In the foreground you can see our "climbing anchor". This is a system a smart climber will construct at the end of every pitch. It is built in case the lead climber should take a fall. If the lead climber were to fall the anchor will prevent both climbers from hurtling into space.
