As far as pure climbing goes the CMC is much preferable to the Exum Ridge on the Grand Teton. On the CMC you are ALWAYS fully exposed to the vertical dropoff to the Falling Ice Glacier. It is several thousand feet down to the glacier from my perch in the above photo. One of the neat things about this climb was hearing the glacier calve chunks of ice every few minutes. In some instances in sounded like a shotgun went off on the mountain. Hopefully you can appreciate the sense of exposure we felt on this climb.
