Grand Teton View

At Last! We arrive at the Lower Saddle. The Lower Saddle is just a low point between the Grand and Middle Tetons where climbers come to camp in preparation for Grand Teton ascents. It is one of the best campsites in the Teton Range, and undoubtedly the highest, perched at 11,700 elevation. The Lower Saddle is a bustling little spot. On any given summer night there will be several tents pitched here, as well as 15-20 Exum Guides and clients eagerly anticipating their climb. From our tent site on the Lower Saddle we have a perfect view of the EXUM RIDGE, our particular climbing route on the Grand Teton. In addition, we could see all the way down into Idaho as the Lower Saddle is the dividing line between Wyoming and Idaho.
