Since the introduction of the discus, I've raised and maintained
the temp at 87.1f. The basic reason, aside from the discus liking
the higher temps, is that ich and many other infestations are unable
to live in that temp. True, some fish and some plants don't like
it either, but I try to ensure before placing any that the temp
isn't an issue.
