‘Bang per buck’, there is no better performing lens in Nikon’s range, period. Excellent centre resolution even wide open, very good all over from f/4 onwards where centre resolution actually out resolves a D200 sensor. A nice short telephoto portrait lens on DX sensor bodies, and best of all, cheap as chips.
