Yellow & Pink

Simi, CA

* 7-25-06 *

It's been so hot that most of the roses I have nearby
are all curling up before I can get a good shot ~ but
tonight walking Brumby, we came across this beauty.
The flash makes it look rather "electric", but hey, at
least this "electricity" won't cost me an arm & a leg!

No special treatment, Snoot, just a 12X optical zoom & a flash. Many thanx to everyone for their very kind comments & votes ~ You all keep me encouraged & I appreciate it!!

This is beautiful. At least your temperature will drop soon--we'll stay this way until October.

Very nice shot Colleen, lovely presentation - I heard the temps gonna drop to a chilly 84 by the weekend!

It looks like " Peace " has been fried. Cut the buds, bring them inside to enjoy & give your plant a rest during a heatwave...it will love you for saving it some energy & provide gorgeous blooms for Autumn

Oh this is a pretty one, and we've had the same problem here. I know if I see a flower, it's going to be wilted in a few hours at most. Finaly, some rain.. just hope it keeps up a little longer. This has great colors to it, and one of the "old timey" style as my folks use to call them. I'm not too sure they had verigated one's in those days tho', or at best probably weren't as common. Nice framing of the shot, I like off center things.. er, wonder why that is? ;)
