The hotel looked nice from the road. Mom said the
lobby looked nice, too. But looks can be deceiving,
as we soon found out. The rooms were trashy and not
maintained, and the neighborhood was rather
dangerous.

Funny how the hotel was just a couple miles away from
a place called St Matthews, South Carolina. I'm not
sure of the name of this town, but it seems every
St Matthews has its own Hikes Point.
