I’ll bet you can’t do this!
Another in the occasional series that David started with his inappropriate objects in a wine glass – in this case, it’s a tongue inappropriately inserted into her own nostril….not that she thought it was inappropriate in any sense!
Phew – I’m exhausted! It’s the end of the royal visit and we’ve just waved Jan, Simon and the two little Madderns off after a day-long visit. They’ve been down on a grand tour, firstly to see Alan and Dee and now the tour is on its final leg, with a visit to one of Jan’s old school friends.
They came here to see our new home and to spend some time with us. For two childless people, it’s a bit like spending a day with a tornado and a hurricane – exhausting!
We decided that our gaff probably isn’t entertaining enough for two little boys so we took them out to the local farm to see cheese being made. It’s a short trip down the road and quite a cool experience so it seemed like a good plan. Big boy enjoyed it but the little ‘un found it a bit dull so it was partly successful. This shot is of one of the cows in the herd that produces the milk for the cheese! I found myself plastered in cow spit, over my leg and my head as I was bending down trying to get a shot and being licked to death in the process. I’m probably not in a majority when I say I thoroughly enjoyed the experience!
Then we took them on a walk round our village and for a cream tea in the shop, which did go down well as did the lambs, the stone circles and the ruined mines. The final part of the jaunt for us was a game of Rosie tennis in the field then off they all went.
Now we are exhausted. It’s time for a bit of flumping on the sofa!
Last year, we were on the beach.
Oh and by the way - for anyone interested, it's day 1179 today so to use a well-worn expression (which I KNOW my Mum'll hate) 'it's shit or bust'.
