We've gone past the sandbar in the middle of the river, turned around, and are
now slowly approaching the area where I was to be put ashore. The place I had
picked out (during the river bench hike a few days earlier) was more difficult
to identify from this low angle than I had anticipated. What a jungle!

the bottom left corner, heading toward the top of the photo. I was put ashore near
the top end of the narrow strip of greenery on the right bank of the river.
