Da Yan Pagoda (Great Wild Goose Pagoda)
The pagoda itself was built in 652 (third year of Yonghui of the Tang Emperor Gaozong). A square pyramid of blue brick, it is 64 meters high,with seven stories. This pagoda was constructed for the storage of the translation of the Buddha Sutra obtained from India by the monk Xuan Zang (one of the protagonists of the Journey to the West & The Monkey God).
