Fabulous, Vikas. Instantly appealing with its bold color and striking composition, yet there's plenty of nuance to keep the mind occupied with repeated viewings. Did I mention I like this? -Michael

Yes, most excellent! Simple composition with bright colors always catch my eye and this is a great entry for the challenge. It has "Vikas" written all over it! Good luck. shu

Thanks Jnconradie, appreciate it!
Cat, your comment about Lonnit had me laughing :-D Great to know you will be visiting Delhi/India, have sent you an email.

Cheers, Vikas.

Silly, silly, Cat. The bamboo is in my dining room, remember? LOL! ~ Lonnit
Canon DSLR Challenge24-Apr-2006 15:43
This is Vikas's?!? From the thumbnail I thought: Hmmmmm.... What is Lonnit doing with a bamboo ladder in her bedroom!!
Absolutely fabulous!! From what I can see, adding torn jeans as ladder-caps(I see some blue and half a pocket on there) adds more charm to already great photo.
-Cat
BTW, Vikas, how does one reach you if they are in Delhi or in India? I am visiting India for a short trip, next month. You can email me at photocat.online@gmail.com. Will love to give you a ring atleast. -Cat

Thanks Fly/Gayle (not 100% sure who the master is but await his arrival :-)
Thanks Lonnit and yes, red walls sure are uplifting; just looking at that expanse of red makes me smile. :-)
Thanks Mark...its a set up shot; I had this red exterior wall; a ladder used by the workmen when painting the rest of the house white and my blue jeans and just put them all together and came up with this one. :-)
Thanks Traveller. Actually the wall is a lovely deep red to begin with; I purposely shot this when the sun was partly behind a cloud so as not to wash out the colours; then played some with levels and curves to get deeper toning.
Cheers, Vikas.

Dear Vikas: I agree with Galye...Okay, you win....lol. I particularly like the off set of the ladder to the left, and the placement of the jeans below the center line. Out of curiosity, did you enhance the red wall any? Not that there's anything wrong in that...we are allowed to play, {grin}. Just an excellent image in all regards. Best Wishes, Traveller

Nicely done, Vikas. Not that it matters but just for curiosity... did you "set this one up" or happen upon it. IF you did set it up, you did a great job of doing so. If you didn't, the shot is very well seen. Markjay

How annoying that Vikas is also this good at shoot not-people. Excellent image! Aren't red walls just wonderful? ~ Lonnit
Gayle Knowles23-Apr-2006 12:41
Oh cool....oh, so cool! You win :-)

Aaaah, but on second thoughts, I have it on good authority that the master will be entering this challenge. But maybe you'll win anyway.
