Cotys Sap Shed

Nebraska Valley, Stowe, VT

Tonight I had the best night. After taking pictures around an empty trout club on Lake Mansfield, we stopped by my daughter's friend's house where the sugaring season is in full swing. This is the sap shed, first stop before the sap goes to the evaporator in a separate building. There were lots of folks around enjoying the first tastes of the season, and also Audrey Coty's DELICIOUS biscuits with syrup that the locals call "sticky buns." Far from one of those things you can get at the mall patisserie, these melted with purity.

Excellent shot--terrific work in that low light.

Great atmosphere with this shed taken at night. Superb light and colours.
This kind of shed is vanishing here in Quebec where the small family "cabane à sucre" is replaced by huge commercial sugar whatsoever... Thanks for the memories.
