Continued from:

yesterday's PaD

Why do we set sail?

After all is put in order, a well-found cruising vessel becomes a self-sufficient island.
That is why many people sail.
It is a personal declaration of independence.

Many people talk about it but so few actually do it.

The freedom of the open water captured in this photo. You have a beautiful boat and it's been a wonderful cruise for you. I imagine it will be hard to get back to real life.

You sail for some of the same reasons I ride my bike. One advantage I have, however -- my thing is cheaper. WAY cheaper! lol

Excellent composition. I imagine sailing does give one an amazing sense of freedom. It's the same in many ways as canoe-camping in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area (or elsewhere). Thou I imagine you have better quarters... LOL
