The metal lockers at Fort Monmouth were like gym lockres, about the same size as the one in the picture, painted olive green. Padcoks secured them. I can still hear the metallic sounds of closing and latching the door. There were no drawers as I recall, just one shelf up high. But we also had footlockers---one to a man.
