This is a male Great Frigatebird bird. The red on the throat means it is a male and the green cast to the shoulder feathers means this is a "Great" not a "Magnificent." Such distinctions matter to both frigatebirds and to birders. Photographers are more interested to know the picture was taken with a Canon 20D with the 17-85 EFS lens, at 1/250s at f/9.0 at 85mm with an ISO of 200. Photographers are in no position to make fun of birders.
