Legg Bridge (aka Clarkson Bridge) Largest wooden bridge in Alabama. (270 feet long, built in 1904 with timber furnished by Postman Legg so his mail route could be shorter by wagon. Destroyed by flood in 1921 and rebuild in 1921. Unique total stone bents with boulders as anchors at each entrance. Retired from service when new bridge was built parallel from whence the photo was taken.)
