I am fortunate to live by the sea and often visit nearby coves, coastal villages and harbours. I strive to create images which summarise the essence of things that catch my attention through abstraction. At the quayside I am fascinated by the way in which the colour, shape and form of an object above the surface is reflected, modified and distorted by the motion of water and the shadows cast on it.
