Marisa puts it best -- he surprises us and we surprise him. He comes from nowhere and suddenly he is there. The pipe running from corner to corner pulls us right through the picture. Another brilliant example of finding a moment in time that expresses an idea or feeling and placing it within a well-ordered structure at the same time.
Somewhere HCB is smiling on you Kal. This shot reminds me of his famous image of the kid with the champagne bottles.
