I'm preparing to say goodbye for the last time to Simon, my 14 y/o Blue Point Himalayan who will be helped across the bridge in a few hours. He has been my constant companion since the passing of my previous himmie, Oodles in 2004. For years I wondered how a mere 12 lb. feline could take up so much space on a queen-sized bed at night....often pushing me to a sliver of mattress on which to sleep. But knowing how he has indeed held the lion-share of my heart for 4 years, I shouldn't be surprised. I love you, my ol' man....and I always will.
