Eyes really can't see everything, but when a deaf person
signs to another deaf person, they don't miss out on
anything. I am known to have excellent lip reading skills
and I do STILL miss out on a lot of things. I do see life
differently but there is still a veil over my eyes.

Hands are a very important aspect in my life and without
hands (which taught me Cued Speech and Sign Language)
I would not be able to read, write, and speak.

Makes me think of the verse..."I see through a glass darkly"...in this case I would change it to "I hear through glass darkly..."
Sort of hauntingly beautiful...but not in an eerie way...I love the way you had the hand in front of the veil to make your point...
Lovely!

Lovely portrait and interpretation. The see through veil and the sharp image of the hand is a great relation to your commentary. Great image. Vote.
