One of the shots from the original "environmental portrait" shoot. We had to pose the subject in different spots for each shot, we weren't allowed to bracket, etc., and it had to be in B&W. I was using an antique TLR medium format camera and either sharpness/focus was a problem or the film didn't wind properly and double-exposed. Poor Cary got very bored by the end of the shoot, but he was a good sport. This was the only acceptable shot, but one of the hands is missing (plus, I didn't like the dark shadows) so I re-shot the portrait all together later in the same week.
