10th Place (tie)
....and once it's warmed?
Fremiet

Straight shot in my kitchen. The house, however is from Dinan in Brittany. It had the right angle to fit in the pot consistent with the perspective. (A few bricks fell out during the warming, but thankfully my neighbor is a bricklayer).

This is pretty much all due to our fearless leader, MFC. He gently prodded me with e-mails. Finishing up school for the holidays has been intense, and I really thought I would not have time for anything. Anyhoo...this is what I came up with. Enjoy, and thanks Mike!

Bev: (and Katherine, Sonny, Jerry, Roberta) Thanks. As it happens I pulled the second entry...just didn't seem good enough. John

Great imagination and wonderfully fun invitation, John. That house is just perfect; love the angles, and gables, and chimneys. Thanks for telling us a little about it. - oh, and forget my comment on your 3rd entry about not being able to find this. Bev

Very funny - great post-processing! I like the confused little dog in the corner, also.

What can I say, John? Leave it to you to come up with something totally imaginative and different. This is no exception... interesting, clever and so well executed!

John,
Your unique style and creative imagination have always been fun and interesting to ponder. This is no exception. I like the blurred rendition of the wine/champagne(?) in the background - appropriate for the housewarming party. This will really make a very good invitation to a housewarming party.

John,
Really creative and fun idea! I think Hallmark would like this for their line. I'm glad Mike pushed you a bit. It's good to take a break from work to use your creative energy for photography!

Kind comments Miguel, Mike, Helen and MFC.
Da eggs, Mike, are back on the display shelf. What a memory! Is there ANYTHING you don't miss?

So clever and creative, as usual, John. Really priceless (and nicely shot as well). Helen

Great imagination, John, as usual! - Mike

Very clever and fun, Fremiet. I really like your perspective on this "warming house" and the way steam is rising from the pot...the glimpse of blue flame below is very effective. Nice coloring throughout and very effective DOF here. Better hurry up and get to that party, though...or it's going to become too "hot" a party for me to handle :) Well done, Fremiet...this puts a big smile across my face :) MFC
