The Cajun Night Before Christmas

This is our yard in the evening light. It wasn't quite dark enough for the lights to come on. Ariel did a nice job repainting our Christmas lawn decorations. These were drawn from the story "The Cajun Night Before Christmas" by James Rice.

Driving around the neighborhood, I've noticed that the Christmas deocrations are much more elaborate this year. I think we are all looking for a little extra Christmas spirit. I'll have to try and take some pictures of them.

These are funny. Not something you'd see around here. Nice shot and a nice job with the decorations.

I love these! They're funny and festive at the same time. You did a great job. It's nice to see how different cultures decorate. Can't wait to see your photos of the neighborhood.

Good to see your spirit is retained despite the odds this year. The house looks good with this all around.

Here's a link to the story, Elaine, and if you turn off the awful music and click on the last two words of the lead-in paragraph you can hear old Justin's version of the story.

House looks really nice and the decorations have to be a sign of some sort of returning to normalcy.
Y'all done good.

I remember the pic you posted of her repainting th e gators . . . I was curious about the 'story' then. The refurbishing turned out quite nice and actually I think taking a picture with the lights on and in this type of light is the best way to see all the detail as wellas the lighting. I'm expecting to see a night shot of this (at least I HOPE so) but in your 'extras' post one in this light as well. I'd like to see the difference (geez, I don't demand TOO much, eh! LOL!)
