Is it possible to photograph the essence of flamingoes without their famous pink? I didn't think so, but I was surprised that I achieved some success here. The light was quickly dying as the day came to an end. And it had started to drizzle too. Although I couldn't capture their beautiful colour, I wanted this image to be an impression about their unique shape. Their thin, long, twiggy legs is what gives them away as flamingoes. The two thick dark bands of the lake shore in the foreground and background emphasize how thin their legs were even more, and the whole sense of delicateness has been further enhanced by their gentle, soft reflections in the water. This is definitely not a typical flamingo image, but I was quite pleased with the results I got from the challenge.
