One Touch of Nature

Best viewed on ORIGINAL
This is the first time I've tried bird photography with the H1.
We had a snowstorm today so I had a day off from work!
I really enjoy bird photography and a day off from work makes it even better!

Beautiful composition - I love the snow on his beak! I really like the message, also.

Roberta, you seem to be using the H1 to good effect for telephoto bird shots! I love the minimal background, which gives it a very Oriental feeling. Also love the snow on the beautiful bird's beak! Helen

Roberta, this is a very nice capture. I really like the simple/minimal composition... good DOF effect and very pleasing contrast with the white background. Love the pose of the titmouse looking back over its shoulder...cute how the beak is dappled with snowflakes. I also like the sentiment of your quote and greeting...nice positioning & good choice of fonts as well. A lovely "touch of nature", Roberta. What a great way to enjoy your day off :) MFC

Thanks Sonny.
The focal length was at maximum zoom on the H-1 which is the 35mm equivalent of 432mm. Thanks for your comment! Roberta

This is a beautiful bird photo. Love your composition. I like the contrast of its dark body against the white snow. The added snow on its beak is a welcome bonus. I notice the focal length used by the camera is on 72mm yet you seem to be very close - how'd you do it?
