B33 (The Horsehead Nebula) and NGC2024 (The Flame Nebula - aka Flaming Tree)
This was 18 images converted from RAW to FITS, calibrated to a master dark frame made of 9 dark frames (which were taken NOT at the same temp, hence the excess noise still), graded, aligned and stacked in ImagesPlus, saved as TIFF.
DDP, adaptive balance, some levels and stretching also done in IP.
In PSCS I used Gradient Xterminator to even out the gradients a little, then used Astronomy Tools: Local Contrast Enhancement action, then applied Shadow/Highlight to tone down Altinak (Zeta Orionis) a little (the large star next to The Flame Nebula).
Cropped then did major resize down for the challenge.
With the processing that I do, EXIF data is not saved when converting to .tiff. Information is copied from the .fits file.
