Well . . . I don't know if it's on theme or not . . . what the hell, the tree is up in the air, right? :)
Bob, the palm is -- unfortunately -- just a blur. The tree that cast the shadow on the building, at sunrise, is some ways down the street. Thus, the diffuse shadow. Too bad. It really would have worked better that way.

The colors are great and the I like the comp.
Was the shadow blurred in post processing? I'm trying to imagine how this would look with sharper shadow lines. I don't know if that would be better or not. As is, the shadow does provide a contrast to the sharp roof lines...hmmmm

I'd be a little hesitant to vote for this as I'm not so sure it's on theme. But I think it's a fantastic shot. Very Gorodesque with the graphic look and bright colors.
If I were you, I'd put my name on it in big letters ;-)
