Sparks from the transformer outside of Ms. Anne's house started up
a fire after our lights flickered on & off several times as Jon & I
watched from our side patio. We heard some crackling & Jon was smart
enuf to check it out, calling "Mom, it's on fire" as he ran back.

I went running over & woke up a very confused Ms. Anne & her poor BF
by yelling for them to wake up, there was a fire. Only in his shorts,
he got the water going & I helped him get the quickly growing fire out
& under control before it had a chance to get ugly.

Jon had a backpack full of supplies for us, and was on alert for quite
a while. He was smart in his observing our neighborhood & should be
the one everyone thanx for last night. The firemen did show, and oddly
enuf, they were the ones checking out the transformers, not the electric
company. So much for a quiet Tuesday evening in Simi, Huh?
