Kitchen Aid

So Tuesday we are having our company Thanksgiving. This is the south so we are having a deep fried turkey.

If you have never had deep friend turkey you should really try it. It is NEVER dry when cooked right. It is ALWAYS tender and juicy. It is however very dangerous to drop a 20 pound turkey into 6 gallons of boiling peanut oil at 320-350 degrees.

It cooks in about 3.5 minutes per pound.

Ok enough about turkey. I decided to make my (that could be argued, you know who you are) Cream Cheese Pecan Ball.

So easy even a guy can make it.
Cream Cheese Pecan Ball
2 bricks of Philly Cream Cheese (NOT the LOW FAT kind!)
8oz of Crushed Pineapple it is ok if it is from a can just drain all the excess juice out.
3/4 Green Bell Pepper (very finely chopped)
1/3 White Onion (very finely chopped)
1 teaspoonful (very rounded) of Lowery's Seasoned Salt.
Mix in a bowl, I used my Kitchen Aid, till mixed well.
Dump out of the mixing bowl onto a plate (I like to make a flat football shape, so more pecans fit on top)
Cover with a small bag of finely chopped/crushed (what ever is smallest) Pecans.
Serve with Wheat Thins.

Give credit to the guy from pbase (ME) that gave you this great idea, when you get tons of compliments from the folks at work that didn't even know you could "cook".

Costs you about 12-15 dollars to make and serves more people than you think around 20-25.

Thanks for reminder about the pecan ball. I have not had that in a long time and as I recall it is really good. Happy Thanksgiving.--Rene

Excellent compo. Love the hi-key. Well done, even though I have no clue about the turkey frying bit of what you said.
