Good Morning Deer

This morning me and Abby took a drive to the mountains and ofcourse went thru Cades Cove. The late rut was in full swing this morning. We saw lots of Bucks chasing Does. We even saw two Bucks working out a land dispute.

This large lady was part of a group of six does in the first field under Rich Mountain. One had been chosen by a good sized 8 point Buck, and he chased her from the group to court her. The remaining five grazed peacfully. I walked with them for about 45 minutes and they allowed me to get within 25 feet.

Another deer outtake here. http://www.pbase.com/lundy/image/52553115

I also played around with "aging" the old cabins in Cades cove. Here is a before shot of the gift center. http://www.pbase.com/lundy/image/52553116

Here is the "aged" shot. Converted to grayscale, monotone, used a orange/brown filter to give a sepia look then played with the shadow/hightlights tool. Sharped for web after resizing. http://www.pbase.com/lundy/image/52553117

And one of the walkway into the old grist mill in Cades Cove, near the gift shop. http://www.pbase.com/lundy/image/52553118

Very nice James.
Chasing after them becomes addicting.
