Ok I broke from my fall colors theme I had going. Back to that tomorrow.
Tonight I wanted to try to do a product shot from a tutorial I learned in Photoshop User Magazine. (October/November 2005 pages 20-22)
This is a picture of my film camera, Canon's Elan 7NE it is loaded with Velvia 100F till the end of fall colors then it is only loaded with Delta 100 till spring colors return.
How I made this:
1. The background image is a straight on shot of my Elan 7NE, that I took.
2. The foreground image roughly a three quarters shot of the front of my Elan 7NE, that I took.
3. The rest was done using the step by step tutorial found in the magazine.
Here is a link to the two original shots I took to make this image. Please click you will be amazed at how bad this started out. http://www.pbase.com/image/52079768
It was way easier than I thought it would be. Only took me about 45 minutes, including setting up the camera, lights, downloading, and post processing of the original images and then the graphic design part.
It was fun, you should try it.
