Sallie Howard Memorial Chapel

Built near DeSoto State Park by Colonel Milford Wriarson Howard as a memorial to his first wife. The chapel was dedicated on June 27, 1937; Colonel Howard died on December 28th of the same year. The pulpit is made of stones from Little River and words from Sallie's last letter are printed upon a huge beam above it, "god Has All Ways Been As Good To Me As I Would Let Him Be."
