Mt. Dana is 13057 Ft. and Mt. Gibbs is 12,773 Ft.
Mt. Dana was named by the Whitney Survey in 1863, for James D. Dana, American geologist.
Mount Gibbs was named in 1864 for Oliver W. Gibbs, professor of science at Harvard.
