I know microscope views aren't allowed but this is a working machine! It's a vintage Olympus PME inverted metallograph, designed to examine metal surfaces. A Motorola 6845 chip is lying face-down at the top and some lettering on the chip is magnified 800x and visible at the bottom on frosted glass over the dry photo plate cavity.
