Gatlinburg, TN

As seen from the Gatlinburg bypass.

Well I learned something today about using circular polarizers to make a paonoramic. DON'T.

As you can see the polarizer really works. And you can see my lazyness in not blending the edges after Canon's Photostich program. Normally I have easy success with Photostitch. But since the polarizer worked to darken the blue sky and saturate the vegetation it is easy to see the drop off on either side of the center frame. The center frame was the one closest to 90 degrees from the sun. The orientation that a polarizer works best from.

Canon EOS 20D ,Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6
Four frames put together with Canon Photostitch. full exif

Beautiful image though James. Makes me homesick. I actually lived in Tennessee (Grundy County) for several years as a child. Many of my best memories of childhood are from there.
