Clouds Racing By

The clouds have been racing by as the feeder bands move through the area. We have lost power a few times, but it has been back up for a while now. The tornado sirens continue to go off. My family has been able to spend some "quality" time in close quarters. My daughter, Heidi was smart enough to put a deck of cards along with the other emergency supplies, flashlight, radio, telphone, etc. in our "tornado shelter" otherwise known as the interior bathroom.

These are enough to send the bravest underground. Good to hear it's all over now...for the time at least.

I, too, am much more concerned about what happens down there because of the people I've come to know on this site. I don't think I've ever seen such threatening clouds. Keep your heads down!

Please be safe!! Those clouds look ominous and even deadly. I can't believe this is happening again. I've been glued to the Weather Channel because of all my Pad friends down there.

I jumped over here from Gayles site-Quality time in the interior bathroom hmm? Very smart of Heidi to throw those cards in there too. (I keep cards & chenile sticks in my classroom emergency backpack.) Thinking of you guys & Huggerz

Good for Heidi. Wise planning on her part. The tornado sirens are certainly adding a bit of excitement around here. Very nice dramatic photo. Shame we can't package the feel and sound of the wind with it.

Wow. That must have been when the tornado sirens were sounding in St. Charles Parish.
