Not much to add to what everyone else has already said. But I do want to add my voice to the chorus singing the praises of this image. Brilliant. Marc

I love this shot. Really imaginative angle. Different view of everyday archetecture.

Alain,

This is a great 'poster' type image. I'm impressed with the way in which you have used the rotation to good effect, with the curves of the structure, a great balance. The B to W contrast of the structure with the sky works well too. If the sky had been blue, with more sun light it would have been a completely different picture.

Fantastic,

-Chris Gregory

Thanks for the positive comments !
Veronica: I posted an original version showing that the rotation was really intented. I only applied some slight cropping.
Bruce : the colors are a result of some severe slider shifting in PS 'color balance'.
The harsh and deep 'drop shadow' framing has indeed, as mentioned by Veronica, some positive effect : it balances the dark right part in the image. Pure luck ;-)

It looks like it's going to take flight. Very dynamic. The sepia tones recall an photo of an old flying machine. Well done!

Very dynamic! Excellent rotating & cropping. Did you have that in mind when you shot the image or did you play with it later? You have also complemented the composition with
attractive mounting. Without this framing I'm sure it wouldn't be such a successful shot.

Very nice composition and angle. Your view has turned something everyday into something very abstract and rather special!
I think it might be better if some of the details in the bottom right corner were cloned out.

Wow- what a unique perspective. Very cool. Subtle colors work really well. I love nautical (square rigger) look. Nice lines and a dizzyingly (?)adept composition.
