Summer is Fading 09_08_05.jpg

When I think of wild sunflowers, I think of September and the oncoming Fall. The sunflowers are headed past their peak, beginning to fade or go to seed, as they say; so is Summer.

The days are getting shorter and a few trees, high on Wanda's mountain, are beginning to show a hint of Fall color. It won't be long until these warm and sunny days are a fading memory; just like my wild sunflowers.

I like the selective focus and I hear what you say about summer, the days here around the Great Lakes are getting cooler and shorter.
Nice shot!

Hey, you just described me, past my peak and going to seed:-)
Julie Ann, Tamron macro lenses are every bit as good as Canon. and much cheaper.

I think this is one of my favorites from you. I see you used a new lens? I should give Tamron a try.

Looking forward to future photos on Wanda's mountain, especially with the colors of fall and colors of winter.

A fine image to remember Summer... and Fall is a wonderful season.
We even have a little nip in the air here in San Diego tonight.
