You are probably wondering why I took this picture.
It is however, very true, in the deaf community.

We lock doors often in the bathroom. Most hearing
people simply close the door because they take
for granted that someone can hear them doing
their business! Also they know they can hear
someone calling out, "Hey, anyone in there?"

For the deaf, we just can't hear if someone is
at the door or knocking so we always
lock the door. When a deaf person comes to the
door and finds it locked, we understsand
someone is in there.

I admit sometimes I lock the door so my children
leave me alone and I have a few moments of sanity. :-)
