Kudos to Andrew Solomon, the writer who did a wonderful
job portraying the deaf community.

The photographer was amazing as well. Not only did he
do the photo on the front page, he did a lot more on
the inside.

I saved this since 1994 when it was first published.
I remember not knowing much about deafness and I read
the article with fascination.

Even now, when I re-read the article, there is still
so much for me to learn.
