Castle Greyskull Stu

Vengeance will be ours

20 August 2005

478.
Battle was joined in the Heart of Darkness at Castle Greyskull, deep in Orc territory. The Forces of Light were met with deep Orc hostility. The early exchanges were evenly fought, with perhaps a slight advantage to the Forces of Light. The Orcs, however, had a secret weapon - The Arbitrator - whose zealous authority was stamped on the contest from the very beginning. The Forces of Light faced an uphill struggle, which was made even more difficult with the removal of one of their master tacticians on the left flank of the attack. Forced to regroup, one of the advance units was pulled back to fill the gap on the flank, leaving one sole advanced unit to face the might of the Orcs' rearguard defence. It was a pitiless task. Suddenly, the Orcs made a breakthrough, yet all did not seem lost as the Forces of Light continued to probe for weaknesses in the Orc defences. On one occasion, the Forces of Light broke through, only to see their missile, which was fired by a rearguard support unit, fly off target from point-blank range. After a brief pause during which both sides regrouped, battle was rejoined. The Orcs' numerical advantage was beginning to tell now, and it was not long before they broke through again. Bravely, the Forces of Light made several tactical changes, most notably with the introduction of the Fast Mobile Attack Unit, known affectionately as 'Wee Sean Maloney'. Within moments of this change, the Forces of Light had hit the main Orc target. Hope was cruelly snatched away seconds later by The Arbitrator, however, when he inexplicably awarded the Orcs a free strike against the Forces of Light's Ultimate Bastion. The Forces of Light's field commander was furious at the apparent injustice and one-sidedness of The Arbitrator's actions throughout the battle, and told him so in no uncertain terms - using 'industrial language' to get his point across. For this, he was removed from the field after the battle had been lost, causing a post-conflict altercation that will, undoubtedly, be used by the Orcs and their allies in the Sinister and Perverse Legion at Nedmah Krap to further punish the Forces of Light and hasten the onset of the Reign of Darkness. One thing is certain, the Forces of Light will never surrender to Orcdom and Darkness. They will prevail. Hail, hail.
