Migration
by

Marietta, GA

A flight of Canada Geese heading south for the winter.
The hour is late, the sun has just set, they are looking for a place to spend the night. It's just over this band of trees.
How many miles have they flown today?
With their minds numbed by fatigue they are always honking. I know what they're saying. It's something like this:
Canada Goose Bart, "Are we there yet?"
Canada Goose Homer, "No!"
Canada Goose Bart, "Are we there yet?"
Canada Goose Homer, "Wait a minute .......... No!"

PS grain added to emphasize the physical magnitude of their journey.

Pops, I really like the grainy look to this shot...it feels dreamy, even dizzying. The geese contrast well against the open sky...the trees have a sense of motion. Very interesting effect and well done...nice choice for B&W. MFC
