The Oriental Guest House in Leh is an extended family run place. In the winter kitchen the few hearty guests that arrive as well as the guest house family intimately squeeze into the kitchen-dining area and are served delicious meals. Smells of rice and lentils waft from the room as conversations between visitors and family volley between the wafered bread and noodles. By the light of the kitchen window Great Grandfather takes a loving gaze at Great-Granddaughter.
