“Grim proposes marriage.”
“Grim and Kelly” I was sitting with Grim in the park waiting for Kelly to arrive. I have known Grim for a few years and have been photographing him and writing his story, pieces of which have been posted here.
Grim said Kelly his girlfriend is getting out of jail and was to meet him in the park. Kelly had been in jail for 52 days for petty larceny. Sure enough she arrived and after many hugs and kisses Grim asked me to take a picture of he and Kelly. I did and he had gotten down on his knee and asked Kelly to marry him. She accepted. I asked Grim “is this for real?” and he assured me it was.
They said they might get married in October, and they wanted me to take pictures. They said they wanted a “trash” wedding near the Hudson river with all their friends and then a “Church wedding” later.
Well, I wish them luck and who knows I might be able to go and shoot a few pictures?
