27th July 05 Foolow Lane

I'm working through the Freeman Patterson book 'Photography and the Art of Seeing' with some other photographers from DPC. This one represents breaking the rules, and specifically NOT Keeping the main point of the image in focus.

I'm hoping the main point is the lane and not the weeds ;-)

Rules? What rules? Even though it is out of focus, the eye keeps getting drawn to the background.

very nice.. the blurred backgrouind makes you curious about the landscape behind.. wich I think is good. Nice Picture!!
