Ok Richard, how on Earth you thought of that?! :-) This one is so amusing that simply brings a smile, with all my heart. Great creative concept, that must be awarded for its originality. Well done!

Hi John, cbses,
Thanks for your comments. It was a hurried shot, I didn't have much time and the chocolate are starting to melt. I was happy with the colors, but I agree the contrast isn't quite there. The outer part of the shot definatley doesn't add much. I do have a much closer shot, but I think the real problem is that I need to get some more detail out of the plate.
Thanks again for commenting,
Richard.

Richard, I like the concept, but would much prefer a very close crop to eliminat all that nothingness that surrounds your carrot/chocolate feast. I also agree that you don't seem to be taking advantage of the available dynamic range of RGB when you process, so you could easily brighten your result for a more punchy result.

Hi Richard,
A very novel ideal and nicely shot. I like the lack of clutter and the splash of color the carrots provide - and the tablecloth makes an interesting background. The only thing I might do to enhance the feeling of openness, health and choice would be to brighten it up a bit. I did a quick set white point to the plate, and that was overkill - but I think a moderate amount of brightening would make the plate stand out and boost the overall effect of the shot.
