KM Challenge #38 (C38) Theme: CHOCOLATE


Description


Who doesn't like chocolate? Maybe only those unfortunate who are for some reason cocoa allergic :-)

Probably best known sweet preparation in the world today, in its essence, chocolate is a preparation made from cocoa seeds that have been roasted, husked, and ground. Chocolate today is often sweetened and flavored with vanilla. Aztec king Montezuma drank 50 goblets a day in the belief that it was an aphrodisiac. Well, he isn't alone, that's for sure! :o)

Make those shots delicious, sweet, imaginative; use chocolate of your favorite taste and colour, of any shape and texture. Candies, bars, hot chocolate, chocolate toppings, beverages, ice creams, dark chocolate, latte (milk) chocolate, white chocolate, with raisins, cinnamon, aromatic liquors , strawberries, cherries, and almost anything else. Let your imagination riot.

Wikipedia says that part of the enjoyability of the chocolate eating experience is ascribed to the fact that its melting point is slightly below human body temperature and so it melts in the mouth. Chocolate also releases serotonin in the brain which produces feelings of pleasure in a similar way to sunlight. Enjoying in chocolate is seductive, and thrills our senses.

Apart from sensuous enjoyment, recent studies have shown that cocoa or dark chocolate has potent health benefits for people. Dark chocolate is full of antioxidants that help protect blood vessels, cardiac health, and prevent cancer. So, after all this evidence, who can still resist chocolate? :^)

Guidelines: I strongly encourage you to focus mostly on sensuous nature of chocolate. Please avoid simple P&S shots taken in local store; rather spend some time and discover how chocolate stimulates you and encourages to take more exciting and sensuous approach. In other words, try to rediscover why is chocolate so seductive to you. Thank you all for giving me this delicious opportunity to moderate C38. Hope this challenge will be food for your pleasure and photographic skills.
